Last weekend a number of Procademy colleagues did not put themselves behind the laptop, but stepped into the running shoes. Together we participated in the 21st edition of the KiKa Hilversum City Run, and what an experience it was! With thousands of others, we took action for a wonderful cause: a future without childhood cancer.
Hilversum this day was all about movement, togetherness and positive energy. The city turned into a bustling sports arena, with 8,000 runners and 3,000 walkers on the course. We too were ready at the start for our miles, encouraged by an enthusiastic crowd and surrounded by colleagues, friends and family. Some of us went for the 5 km, others for the 10 km - all with the same goal in mind.
The absolute highlight? The impressive check of € 101,783.56 that was handed over to KiKa. Thanks to all participants, donors and volunteers, this amount will be used for pediatric cancer research. As a team, we are proud that we were able to contribute to this. Every step we took helps to achieve KiKa's goal: a 100% cure for childhood cancer.
For us, this was more than a sporting challenge. It was a moment when we worked together as a team, encouraging each other and committing ourselves to something bigger than ourselves. Such moments not only strengthen the bond within our team, but also provide energy that we take with us into our daily work.
The next edition of the KiKa Hilversum City Run will be in April 2026. One thing is certain: we want to be there again. And who knows. will you be at the start line with us?
