First of all, the concept of "business school" is far from new. Philips was there early on and started the Philips business school in 1929. Every student of the company school was also sure of a job within Philips after graduation.
The more than 600 volunteers can now work independently to prepare the meetings. In this way the contact moments are used optimally
. We help children with problems and we want to do this as well as possible. However, we also work with volunteers who are not necessarily trained for this work. That is why we want to train them as well as possible. However, you can't ask volunteers to undergo endless training before they are allowed to work. And it is also important for the organisation to set up the training process efficiently. There is a reasonable turnover among the volunteers so we have to make a good assessment of how much time and money we put into their training. We want to train the volunteers as well as possible and at the same time not use more time and energy of our paid work supervisors than necessary. E-learning helps us a lot with this. Because elements of the training in e-learning are done independently by the participants before or after the meeting, we save time.
Some parts of our training were found boring by the volunteers. Long listening, lots of theory. However, if we gave them the texts as homework, they didn't always read them and it didn't always stick. We can solve this now. We incorporate the theory into an interactive e-learning. This is more fun to do for the volunteers, the material sticks better and we can see before the training who did or did not make the e-learning. And because we cover a large part of the theory and standard instructions in the e-learning, there is more time to practice in the training, so the face-to-face training is also better assessed by the participants.
Because we consist of seven locations, and all seven locations have their own work supervisors, it is difficult to reach all volunteers at once. All training and communication ends up with the volunteers via multiple disks. However, some things have to be done uniformly and trained with clear instructions. Previously, there was a good chance that a few volunteers slipped through or that things were understood differently in the communication across multiple disks. Now we can draw up an instruction from the central organization and train all volunteers (and paid employees) at once.
Recertification & Overview
Certain instructions need to be repeated once in a certain period of time. Think for example of the safety instructions that apply when you enter a specific site, this may be valid for 12 months. But you could also think of an annual Security Awareness training course, which (firmly) Procademy stimulates an employee to go through the instructions on time and to repeat them on time (if necessary). Procademy Sends out various e-mail reminders for this purpose, also managers and administrators automatically receive overviews of employees who have not attended certain training courses on time. In this way, you can fully ensure that employees repeat and go through work instructions on time. We keep track of the achieved scores of everyone individually. You Procademy can also submit the reports to auditors in order to demonstrate professional competence and knowledge assurance.
Uniformity and version control of course material
Because you keep a grip on "who learns which instruction when", you can be sure that the employees are aware of the applicable work instructions in the same way. This prevents that certain changes in working methods are not passed on to everyone in time. Because the employees are also tested, you can be sure that they have the minimum knowledge of this. You can also always restore previous versions of training courses if necessary. Previous versions Procademywill be retained.
Time saving
Many customers also use e-learning to go through the theory prior to a practical instruction. Think, for example, of a "Training small fire extinguishers", in which you might previously have spent 4 hours on a theory presentation + practice on location. With e-learning you can study the theory in your own time, and purely practice the theory on location. You will then be able to give the entire training in approx. 1,5 hours. Also from a planning technical point of view it is often more pleasant not to have to instruct employees via an on-site presentation. For companies working in an international setting, this advantage can weigh even more heavily. By letting the theoretical part take place online, you can save time on this.
Create independent training courses/work instructions/examinations
In our view, you should have full access to all your training materials yourself. That's why you should be able to create and schedule unlimited training sessions and exams, so that you are in control of all your training activities. The content is often already present in the form of various Word and PDF files. You can decide for yourself whether you want to be supported in this or whether you want to stage and manage it independently. Procademy-customer
